How often should an ice machine be cleaned?

Most manufactures recommend at least two times annually. At Sac Ice, we will evaluate your environment and water quality to help determine if two times annually is sufficient to be sure the ice is safe to consume.

Does my ice machine need a water filtration system?

It is not a requirement but does assist with reducing contaminants or unwanted build up the ice machine. Similar to an oil filter in your vehicle. It could help increase the life of the unit if the unit maintained properly and timely.

How often should my water filter be changed?

If sized properly to the amount of water your ice machine requires to produce ice, typically, most water filters should be changed two times annually. Usually during the preventative maintenance appointment.
